Shiny Porygon2 is Porygon2's shiny form: a different colour, and stronger, with 30% more health and move damage than a normal Porygon2. Shinies are the strongest Pokémon in the game.
How rare it is
Every Porygon2 you defeat on a map has a 1 in 40,000 chance to drop Shiny Porygon2. A hunting chain on Porygon2 makes it up to 4× likelier, and the Shiny Charm 1.5×.
Where to find it
Beat Porygon2 on these maps (a shiny sometimes defends a map itself, stronger than its kind):
| Map | Region | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Burned Tower | Johto | 41 |
Evolving it
A shiny evolves into the next form's shiny, which is rarer, so it also needs Glimmer Stones:
- Evolves from Shiny Porygon with 2 Glimmer Stones
- Evolves into Shiny Porygon-Z with 1 Glimmer Stone, on top of what Porygon2 needs
Past level 100
A shiny never becomes a Nightmare form: at 5★ and level 100 it Ascends instead, keeping its shine and its name, and climbs the Nightmare ranks to level 999. See The Nightmare World.
