Pocket Arena is a Pokémon auto-battler you play in your browser. Every map has a team of wild Pokémon defending it. You choose which of your Pokémon to bring and where they stand, then they fight on their own. Win, and the next map opens; now and then one of the Pokémon you beat joins your box.

Your first battle
- Sign in with Discord or with an email and a password. You start in Pallet Town with three starters.
- Drag Pokémon from your box onto the lit tiles. A map only has a few slots, so who goes in, and where they stand, decides the fight.
- Press Start. Your Pokémon walk up, attack and use their moves by themselves.
- Beat every defender to clear the map. The next map unlocks, you get experience and gold, and you may catch one of the defeated Pokémon.

Tips for winning
- Bring Pokémon whose types hit the defenders hard, and avoid the ones they hit hard. See the type chart.
- Put sturdy Pokémon in front and ranged attackers behind them.
- Fewer Pokémon and no losses give a better grade, and better grades drop Pokémon more often.
- Stuck on a map? Level up on an earlier one, raise your Pokémon's stars, or evolve them.

What to do next
- Clear the maps of nine regions, beat the gyms for their badges and take on the Elite Four.
- Fill your Pokédex and hunt for shinies.
- Fight other trainers in the Arena, join a guild and climb the Battle Frontier.
- Past trainer level 100, enter the Nightmare World.
