Shiny Magnemite is Magnemite's shiny form: a different colour, and stronger, with 30% more health and move damage than a normal Magnemite. Shinies are the strongest Pokémon in the game.
How rare it is
Every Magnemite you defeat on a map has a 1 in 2,500 chance to drop Shiny Magnemite. A hunting chain on Magnemite makes it up to 4× likelier, and the Shiny Charm 1.5×.
Where to find it
Beat Magnemite on these maps (a shiny sometimes defends a map itself, stronger than its kind):
| Map | Region | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Route 10 | Kanto | 15 |
| Power Plant | Kanto | 32 |
| Olivine Gym (Jasmine) | Johto | 51 |
Evolving it
A shiny evolves into the next form's shiny, which is rarer, so it also needs Glimmer Stones:
- Evolves into Shiny Magneton with 3 Glimmer Stones, on top of what Magnemite needs
Past level 100
A shiny never becomes a Nightmare form: at 5★ and level 100 it Ascends instead, keeping its shine and its name, and climbs the Nightmare ranks to level 999. See The Nightmare World.
