Shiny Charizard is Charizard's shiny form: a different colour, and stronger, with 30% more health and move damage than a normal Charizard. Shinies are the strongest Pokémon in the game.
How rare it is
Every Charizard you defeat on a map has a 1 in 40,000 chance to drop Shiny Charizard. A hunting chain on Charizard makes it up to 4× likelier, and the Shiny Charm 1.5×.
Where to find it
Beat Charizard on these maps (a shiny sometimes defends a map itself, stronger than its kind):
| Map | Region | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Champion Blue | Kanto | 49 |
| Champion Lance | Johto | 37 |
| Mt. Silver (Red) | Johto | 45 |
| Champion Leon | Galar | 77 |
Evolving it
A shiny evolves into the next form's shiny, which is rarer, so it also needs Glimmer Stones:
- Evolves from Shiny Charmeleon with 3 Glimmer Stones
Past level 100
A shiny never becomes a Nightmare form: at 5★ and level 100 it Ascends instead, keeping its shine and its name, and climbs the Nightmare ranks to level 999. See The Nightmare World.
